Easy to make Twice Fried Cuban French Fries
Ingredients
  • 2 -3 lbs. potatoes
  • ¼ tsp. each curry, salt, black and white pepper
  • 1 Tbs basil
  • 1 Tbs grated Parmesan cheese, Locatelli's is best.
  • Canola oil for frying
  • 1 lbs. ground beef, I prefer 80%
  • cheese, bacon, lettuce, onions and tomatoes for toppings
  • Burger rolls
Instructions
  1. Heat oil in wok or deep pot while cutting potatoes into ¼" by ¼" strips and soak in cool water. Use a strainer or salad spinner to drain water from potatoes and cook in hot oil until soft. Then remove onto a baking pan covered with paper towels to absorb oil and place in oven to keep warm. Cook burgers however you prefer, I use the grill. When burgers are placed on grill heat oil to re-cook the fries. When you flip the burgers finish cooking the fries until golden which should be just about the same time for the burgers to be done. Top fries with spices and cheese, enjoy
