WOW! Time Flies Where to Begin?

Catamaran makana
Good-bye and Thank You

I’ll jump back to last spring when we returned to the states from spending the winter in the Bahamas, we felt we were at a crossroad, continue our 11+ years of living aboard Makana or sell the boat to “do something different”. After much deliberations we decided to sell our floating home, so by the end of April we were “homeless”. I should mention that we had made a commitment to be in Alaska by May 12th to spend 4 months living aboard the Aquanator a commercial salmon fishing tender in Prince William Sound. Me the captain, Katie the first mate and Hoku one of three additional crew.

The summer aboard the Aquanator  was amazing, I posted pictures on my facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/rick.caroselli.3

Alaska Salmon Fishing
Alaska Salmon Fishing

Long story short over a 90 day period the 79 foot long Aquanator transported over 2.7 million pounds of Wild Alaskan Salmon from the fishermen and fisherwomen to processors in Whittier and Valdez. After departing Alaska we spent a week hiking in the deserts of Nevada and Utah followed by time in Maine. The end of October we spent camping at Walt Disney World with the first week of November taking us from Maine to Pagosa Springs Colorado which is where I’m writing this from and where we’ll  be spending the winter, OK enough for now.
